Correction:Thanks to this comment by Abu Hassan (see Comments section below: December 15, 2007 9:18 PM):.
"The source’s claim (in Arabic) that this was a “Secret recording” done by one of the “a’loo-cha” (i.e. U.S. military)...etc, is preposterous, and frankly verges on the comical.
This video/program was produced by PBS’ Frontline under the title “A Company of Soldiers”.
Filming began in November 2004, over three years ago, and well before so called “Awakening (Sahwa)” became a part of the lexicon.
Please see the attached link:
A Company of Soldiers-Part 4Please advance the time counter to about
8:50 to see the exact portion.
To understand the context of the meeting, more of this clip (
12:50 minutes) should be watched.
Here is also the Frontline link to the transcript, and all video portions of this 90 minutes program.
The broadcast occurred in February 2005.

A highly dubious source got its message propagated, nonetheless."
I fully concur with Abu Hasan and it is a discredit to the source mentioned below. I have left the posting, nonetheless, for its significance..

We would like at the outset to confirm that we do NOT have any link or affiliation with the source of this documentary video (in Arabic), but we are posting it (despite its poor production and distracting repetitions) for its showing of the level of subjugation, grovelling and collaboration with the American occupiers. One of the 'awakened" sheikhs is being reprimanded by an American military when a Colonel Lanza knows of this and decides to administer the scolding himself. Upon entering, the sheikh immediately spurts that "I apologize to the Colonel". Discomforting pebbles are only to be discarded. .
